Summer Break

I haven't posted much lately because we spent the last couple weeks finishing up school.  We did our 180th day celebration last week which consisted of making homemade play dough which we stuffed in balloons to make "whacky sacks" and playing on the slip and slide.  The week before when we were wrapping up school, we made homemade sidewalk paint and did some painting on the driveway.  It was a good way to wind down from a busy last couple months of school.  I'm taking the next couple of weeks off to finish up my documentation from this finished school year and to prepare for our next school year, which will probably start the first or second week of August.

Other Updates:

We went to Kentucky the weekend before last to visit my brother and his family.  It was a wonderful time and the cousins had so much fun playing together.

Baby Boy has a second tooth which actually came in within about a week of his first tooth.  He has also been waving for the last 3 weeks or so.  He rolls around a lot.  He loves to jump in his jolly jumper and often when I'm holding him in my lap, he wants to stand and jump.  He sits up pretty good now without support.  He can sit for a couple of minutes without toppling.

Big Boy is saying a lot now and we're finally able to make out a lot of what he says.  It's exciting to see (or hear) him developing in this area.

Swim lessons for the girls started today and go on for 2 weeks.

Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks:

  1. Loved all the pictures!!! The family picture turned out real well. Looked like the kids had fun with all the water sliding and making play dough. Those "whacky sacks" were really neat. Big Boy is definitely saying a lot more things now and Baby Boy is growing fast. Just hope you will be able to get done what you like in the time you're out of school. Thanks for sharing all the pictures. The picture with Daddy with Baby Boy and the last one with you and Baby Boy were so sweet!

    Love you all
