Since blogging last, a lot has happened. Co-op ended with field day the end of April. Big Girl finished up spring soccer the end of April. L'il Girl finished up with her art class and had an art show the day after her last class. Baby Girl has stayed busy with gymnastics and has her last performance of the season next Friday. She will still practice through the summer though. We have our last AHG meeting of the season next week and then our end of year awards ceremony in a couple of weeks. I'm thankful that the kids can be involved in things that really interest them, but am also thankful for a little break over the summer.
We still have 20 days of school to finish our school year. It's been going well lately. We'll probably finish mid June and take a month or so off before starting our new year.
We had two sets of visitors during the initial part of Hubby's recovery. His sister, brother-in-law, and their children came for a week the Sunday after his surgery and then right after they left, his parents came for about 3 weeks. There visit was a surprise to Hubby. It was wonderful to have so much help with the kids, meals, and cleaning while Hubby was initially recovering. He couldn't even lift his leg on his own for the first week and a half to two weeks so I had to help him every time he wanted to get out of bed. My mom helped a lot by taking the kids to their various activities while I stayed home with Hubby. I'm so thankful for our family and how much they helped us during this time. I don't know how we would have done it without them!
We celebrated Hubby's 40th birthday in April. We had a party with our closest friends and some family.
I have a ton of photos to go through and add to the blog, but don't have the time to go through them all right now. I hope to do that soon. For now, here's one of Hubby right before surgery and one of his knee post surgery. I'll spare you the inside of the knee photos taken during surgery and the not so nice post surgery knee photos. :-)
