Full Weekend

We have done a lot since I blogged last.  Thursday night we had two of my cousins over, one who lives here and one who now lives far away but was in town for a few days.  Friday night we had the youth group over for a breakfast dinner and game time. We had 10 total and we also had Big Girl's friend from church over too so that they could play together.  Then Saturday mid-day Big Girl went to a birthday party at a horse stable for a friend from co-op.  After that we met at our church with a lot of family and I got to see another cousin who I haven't seen for a couple of years and meet her twin boys.

Last night we had a family from church over for dinner and had a great time of fellowship.

At the end of this week, we have family coming to stay with us for a little while.  We're really looking forward to seeing them (you know who you are)!

Now a quick update on what Baby Boy is up to these days at 13 months old:

• He imitates what we do.  Yesterday he pulled out a dishcloth from the drawer and started wiping the floor.  I don't use dishcloths for that purpose, but he's seen me clean the floor with a rag and was doing the same thing.  He also puts things up to his ear and talks like he's talking on the phone.
• He is such a cuddler.  He loves to be held and he gives great hugs and often just rests his head on my shoulder.
• He now has 7 teeth, 4 on top, 3 on bottom and the other one on bottom should be showing up any day now.  He has not been a happy teether.
• He likes to stick his tongue out.
• He talks a lot.  The only words I recognize are Dada and Mama (in order of how often he says them), but sometimes it sounds like he is repeating what we say.  At co-op last week someone said "there it is" and it sounded just like he repeated it.  Even the lady that said it heard and made a comment about him repeating her. 
• He points to things all the time and then speaks in his baby language about whatever he's pointing to
• He loves to "read" books, again in his baby language
• He likes to push buttons.  A couple of months ago he went up to the round knobs on the cabinets and pushed it with his finger like he thought it was a button.  He was probably expecting some kind of sound like what happens with his toys when he pushes the buttons on them.
• He giggles a lot and sometimes I think he has a fake laugh when he knows you want him to laugh but he really doesn't think something is funny. 
• He loves music and loves to dance.
• He loves to climb the stairs.
• He still doesn't like to wear shoes.  
• He loves to eat his baby food, but he rejects table food, I think because he doesn't like the different textures.  
• He doesn't sleep through the night and since being sick a couple weeks ago, he wakes up at least 2 or 3 times through the night.

Baby Girl learned something new yesterday.  Her Nana taught her how to skip.  I will have to get a video of her doing it.  It's so cute!
