Christmas time

Merry Christmas!  What a wonderful time to reflect on the most wonderful gift of all, Jesus Christ, who left His throne on high to come to earth to be born in a lowly stable and laid in an animal feeding trough.  He came in human form so He could one day die on the cross for my sins and yours so that we do not have to pay the punishment for our sins if we just believe on Him and accept this most precious gift!  As a child, I knew Christmas was a time for celebrating Jesus' birth, but it was hard to not let that become overshadowed by all the gifts.  Every year it seems the meaning is even more special than the year before.  What a wonderful Saviour is Jesus my Lord!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!  We sure did!  We got the girls up a little after 7am, got into the stockings, read the Christmas story from the Bible in Luke 2, opened gifts, ate some yummy cinnamon rolls, and then went to church for a beautiful Christmas service.  Then we had my parents and uncle and aunt and cousins over for lunch in the afternoon.  Here are a few pics from the day.

Still a little sleepy :-)

  1. How beautiful to read the first part of your message - we are truly blessed that the Lord loved us so much to give us His special gift of Jesus and salvation. It is so easy in the hustle and bustle that surrounds the holiday season to get caught up in it. We need always to remember the real meaning of love, sacrifice and the perfect gift that is Christmas and is for all of the seasons of our life. Thank you Jess.

I am glad you had a great Christmas and love all the pictures. It is wonderful to spend time with family..Grandpa and I went of Jeff's for Christmas and we had a great time too - it was very hectic but fun - now we are back home and can rest up a bit.

Wishing you all the best for the new year and give my love to your Mom and Dad.

    Love you all so much.
