Our boy turned 2 today. He is such a sweet boy. He gives the best great big hugs! He's been our most affectionate child that way. He is very curious and gets into everything. He's been slow to talk and doesn't have a large vocabulary yet, but he's trying to say more, especially lately. He likes to go up to Baby Boy and say "Hi Baby". He likes to help and he is so smart. Even though he doesn't say much that we can understand, he understands us very well. He likes to get Daddy's shoes and lunch for him in the mornings before going to work.
He loves animals! I decided to take the kids to the zoo today to celebrate his birthday, but when we got there, the gate was closed. Apparently they close for a week and a half to do annual maintenance each year, and this happens to be that time of year. So we went to the pet shop instead. :-) After that we ate lunch with Daddy at his work. Tonight Nana and Papa are coming over to celebrate with us. And now I have to go make cupcakes.
Happy - Happy Birthday to our boy!!! He looks so-so handsome in the pictures! Of course, that's because he is a handsome boy. Just love that shirt on him. Looking forward to tonight. Was glad you got to let him see some animals after all. I was wondering how that had worked out since the zoo appeared to be closed.
