Christmas Activities

Only 2 days until Christmas!  Wow!  It sure comes faster every year.  What a fun and exciting time of year as we celebrate the birth of our Savior!  I keep reminding the kids that although we celebrate His birth this time of year, it's important to remember that the baby born in a manger didn't stay a baby.  Jesus was born to die for our sins.  As the songwriter wrote: "Born to die upon Calv'ry, He was wounded that I might live."

Here's what's been going on in December for us:
  1. We started the month with a minor surgery.  Big Boy had his tongue tie clipped to help with his speech.  He got three stitches.  He was so brave going into the procedure and had some discomfort the week following, but is doing great now.  We are working on tongue exercises with him to help him make all his sounds.
  2. Our youngest girl had a gymnastics performance at her team's meet in town.  She is on the preteam, so she does not compete yet.
  3. L'il Girl finished her art class and had her end of the semester art show.
  4. The kids had their Christmas program last Sunday and a practice and party at church the day before.
  5. Monday night we went on a Bethlehem walk at a local church with friends from our church.  I didn't get any pictures since it was so dark.
  6. Yesterday we went to a hotel in town that had a bunch of Christmas trees on display.  I took so many pictures, it was hard to chose which ones to put on the blog.
  7. We're taking a much needed little break from school starting yesterday through mid next week.  We are almost to the half way point for our school year (just 3 days short).

  1. Christmas does seem to get here faster every year. Loved all the pictures. I was noticing how the boys looked like such good buddies in their pictures on the Sunday before Christmas. That was so cute. Of course, they all do get along well most of the time. Thanks again for sharing.
