Our Weekend

We had a good weekend.  We had a teen activity for Hubby's Sunday School class Friday night at our house and it was a lot of fun.  We had a "Minute-to-Win-It" competition and watched the opening ceremony for the Olympics.  We had all 7 from his class + 3 visitors for a total of 10 teens.  I'm thankful for the ministry God has placed us in and the great group of kids that we have.

Saturday night we enjoyed a good visit with some dear friends and went swimming in their pool.

Baby Boy is getting more vocal all the time.  He made a "pa" sound a couple of times the other day, adding to va, ma, da, ga, and ba.  Lots of times he is just saying "ah".  He is also sitting up for longer periods of time now. He will sit for several seconds without falling, but when we start clapping and cheering, he gets excited and falls back.

Big Girl recently got the first of her 6 year molars and now she has her first wiggly tooth.  She has been saying that it hurts when she eats and I looked today and noticed that her two permanent bottom front teeth are starting to come up.

I'm enjoying the break from school and only have about a week left before we start back.  I hope to get organized this week and ready to start a new school year, this time with 2 kids, Big Girl doing 2nd grade and L'il Girl starting Kindergarten.

Here are some pictures from our game night Friday and some pictures of Baby Boy yesterday.

  1. Wow,ten.... that's a good group!!! What a blessing they must be. I remember our class of young adults.Looks like a good time was had by all. That certainly is an interesting show to watch. So what is the orange thing on her eye and what was she suppose to do?
Must have been nice to see the opening for the Olympics.
Wiggly teeth are always fun, because it means you get to pull them out.
Such sweet pictures of our little handsome guy.

  2. It's a cookie on her face. You had to use your face muscles to get the cookie from your forehead into your mouth.

  4. That was great that everyone had such a wonderful time! I know it means a lot to the teens to get together for youth activities. As Pastor had mentioned on Sunday morning, he really appreciates both of you very much for the ministry you have with the teens. Great pictures showing the youth activity. I also enjoyed seeing the videos you had posted on the Church FB page.

Such cute pictures of our little man!!!

    Thanks for sharing all!
