Creation

We've been teaching our big girl about creation and how God created everything. It's neat because out of the blue she'll say "God created Mommy" or "God created flowers" and so on. Sometimes she'll ask me if God created certain things. I'm blessed to have the opportunity to teach my children about the Almighty God who created the universe and everything in it. Genesis 1:1 was the very first Bible verse she memorized and if you ask her to say a verse, this is the one she says first.

In Sunday School yesterday, the subject of her class was creation. How fitting. The teacher gave each of the kids a plant (pansies I think) as an example of something God created. So today we went outside and planted it in the back yard and watered it. I'll be very surprised if it survives though because it took a bit of abuse from being handled by a toddler. :-) She sure had fun getting her hands dirty!
